Well I've been thinking about it for long enough and i've finally just splahsed out £1,037 on a new camera and a few other bits and bobs.

So, what have you bought i hear you cry? Well, the camera is a Canon EOS 50D with that i bought a SanDisk 8GB Extreme III CF card, Hoya Pro 1-D Circular polariser and a Canon 10EG Gadget Bag to fit it all inside.

The camera i've got to say is nothing short of stunning, its galactic leaps forward from the 400D and while there are those who will nit pick about pixel density and how they think the 40D offers slightly better high ISO performance and the extra pixels on a 50D give you very little gain in quality but i don't really care, as far as i'm concerned its a simply amazing cameras and i love it to bits so far....it can do just so much more.

...the only downside of course is that i've kinda got to learn how to use a camera all over again but it'll be worth it!


In other news with my coming to the end of 6th form and college i have of course applied to univercity to a range of courses that centre somewhat on Electronic engineering and Computer science. The Uni's i've applied to are Exeter, Bath, Reading, Bristol, Southhampton and so far i've had Bath ask me to come along for an interview, Exeter have pretty much offered me a place and i know Bristol has my application as well. other than its really just a waiting game now, i am however glad because i got my application all sorted out nice and early so i know i'll be early on in the queue for places!

With that in mind i'll finish on saying i'm definately not dead in the water and that i hope everyone's doing alright!
